Fall, also known as autumn, is the season that comes after summer. The North Pole is no longer tilted toward the sun so the days start to get shorter and cooler. Fall is sometimes called harvest time because it is the time when many of the foods in the gardens and fields are ready to be picked and eaten. Also in the fall, the leaves turn different colors and fall off the trees.
